Zane Metzendorf Olkein of Edwardsville, PA and Boca Raton, FL, and formerly of Metuchen, NJ died Friday at Hospice of the VNA, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born in 1926 in Perth Amboy, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Rebecca Sarokin Metzendorf. She graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1943 and Penn State University in 1947 with a degree in Economics.

Her hobbies were her family and friends, Penn State and NFL football, golf and various charities.

Zane was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Jack, in 1988. Surviving are son Larry of Ann Arbor, MI, daughter Alice Biscontini and her husband Robert of Hanover Township, PA, grandson Eric Biscontini of Jeffersonville, PA, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ, at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 13.
