William James Walters Sr. 77, of South Amboy, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway. He was born in Fords and lived there most of his life, before moving to South Amboy 5 years ago.

William worked as a set up operator at Hyatt Clark Bearing in Clark for 25 years before retiring in 1986.

He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Mazurowski Walters in 1989, and his sisters Bernice Chaplar, Trudy Osborne, and Anna Marie De Canto. He is survived by his son William James Jr. and his wife Deborah of New Hampton, NY, and his grandchildren Amanda, Michael, and Billy. He is also survived by his sister Jeanette Di Scullo of Whiting.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 21, 2014 at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a service at 10 am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Visitation is Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
