Saksinsky
July 11, 1932 – November 6, 2022
William E. Saksinsky, 90, of Jackson, NJ was called home on November 6, 2022.
William was born in Perth Amboy to the late Charles Saksinsky Sr. and Monica Sheryka. He grew up in Perth Amboy and graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1950. He served in the Korean War where he was stationed in Japan for 3 years. William went on to become a Perth Amboy Police Officer and was a Detective for the Juvenile Aid Bureau.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Church Roman Catholic Church in Perth Amboy and St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson, NJ. William was also a devoted member of the West Lake History Club in Jackson where he would attend meetings every week. Most importantly, William loved and cherished his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
William was one of nine siblings and is predeceased by his brothers: Thomas, Bernard, Charles, Edward, Joseph Saksinsky and his sisters: Stella Batiuk, Florence Batiuk and Ann Bruskiewicz.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary (n. McCracken) and his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue Fords, NJ 08863. Services will begin Friday 10:30 am at the funeral home. Followed by an 11: am Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen's R.C Church in Perth Amboy.
Burial to follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Keasbey.
