William H Randall, Jr., 97, of the Fords section of Woodbridge, passed peacefully on Saturday November 23, 2024, at JFK University Medical Center in Edison.

He was born on October 26, 1927, and raised in Jersey City, NJ, and had resided in Fords since 1978.

He was a retired employee of Colgate-Palmolive, working in the Research and Development Division for more than 40 years, before retiring in 1984.

He was an avid scuba diver well into his 80s, traveling to many of the world's best diving locations, with the Ocean Explorers Aquatic Center, of the Menlo Park section of Edison.

He owned and raced stock cars with his 1937 Ford car, with the racing car number 313, at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, and Wall Stadium Speedway, in Wall Twp., NJ, and he also enjoyed boating on Greenwood Lake, NY.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth E. Randall, who died on September 9, 2001, and his sister Viola Muench.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Kathleen Muench and her husband Carl of Fords, his son Kenneth R. Randall, of Roselle Park, and his two grandchildren Eric and his wife Jaimee Muench, and Amanda Muench.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 2-5 pm, with a funeral service at 4:30 pm, at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Cremation will follow privately.
