William "Bill" Parker, 86, of Perth Amboy, passed away on September 6, 2012, at Haven Hospice in JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Bill resided in Perth Amboy for 71 years. He was a machine operator for Celotex Roofing Company in Perth Amboy for 55 years retiring in 1997. Bill served in the US Navy 1943-1946.
He is pre deceased by his wife, Adeline (Rodgers) in 2009, and a son, Thomas in 2011. Surviving are sons: Wayne of Perth Amboy, William and his wife Pat of Manchester, Harold and his wife Lynn of Fords, and George of Perth Amboy. Also surviving are his daughters: Meg Mondo and her husband Rocky of Woodbridge, Dee Parker of Hopelawn, Bea Parker of Perth Amboy, and Dawn Bombardier and husband John of Woodbridge. Grandchildren: Christie, Kelly, Bill, Tracy, Christine, Brandon, Nichole, Bob, Billy, Katie, Erin, Shannon, and Tommy; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Monday, September 10, 2012, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy with a Service of Requiem on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
