William Kober, 74, of Perth Amboy entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.
Born in Germany and formerly of Newark, William moved to Perth Amboy 45 years ago. He was an A-Rate Mechanic with N.J. Transit in Newark for 35 years before retiring in 1999. He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Spirit Church in Perth Amboy, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 857 in Woodbridge, and the American Legion Post 45 in Perth Amboy. William was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
William is survived by his wife, Marie Wagner Kober; two sons, William and his wife Cheryl and David Kober of Perth Amboy; and his four grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephanie, Nicholas, and Megan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 9:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Spirit Church. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
