William P. Karabinchak, Sr., 82, of Edison entered into eternal rest Friday, April 22, 2011, at the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
William was born in Fords and resided in Edison for the past 51 years. He was a pipe fitter at Mobile Chemical in Edison for 7 years before retiring in 1993 and had previously been employed at Tenneco Chemical in Fords for 25 years. William was an avid golfer and spent a lot of his time teaching his grandsons to play baseball and horseshoes.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy H. Jones Karabinchak, to whom he was married for 57 years; his three daughters: Donna M. Harmon of Metuchen, Kathy L. Nadjavestky of Avenel, and Sherri A. Strong of Jackson; his son, William P. Karabinchak Jr. of Milltown; two sisters: Mary Paszinski of Point Pleasant and Eleanor Kozal of Bayville; seven grandsons; and 2 great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, April 25, from 5:00-9:00 pm.
