William Garrabrant, of Fords, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born May 23, 1932, in Staten Island, NY, he resided in Fords for 23 years and was formerly of Perth Amboy. Bill was retired from the Franklin Board of Education where he was a Mechanic.

He was predeceased by his son, Dennis, and brother, Vincent Garrabrant. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Joan (Lehman); son, Larry Merrifield and wife Mary; daughter, Joann Yannone and husband Nick; four grandchildren: Nicole, Brooke, Dominick and Marc; two great- grandchildren, Annaliese and Aiden; brother, Walter Garrabrant and wife Dorothy; sister, Ellen Buckley; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 28 S. Fourth Street Fords, NJ, at 11:00am.
