William (Bill) Erskine passed away on June 15th at the age of 97 after a short illness. He was born in Newark and lived in Fords for 67 years before moving to Edison 18 months ago.

Bill is survived by sons Dennis and his wife Mary Ann, Bill and partner Lynda, and David and his wife Janette, grandsons Eric, Sean, and Bryan, granddaughter Stacey Mullen and great-granddaughter Alyssa.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances, son Steven, and sisters Eileen, Eleanor, and Patsy.

Bill was an entrepreneur who owned Frosty Service, a refrigeration and air conditioning business, servicing many pubs, restaurants, diners and motels along Rt. 1 between Fords and Newark. He was also a member of the teamsters union.

Bill was a United States Navy Veteran serving from 1944 through 1946. Upon retirement, he served for 18 years as an EMT with the St. John's First Aid Squad in Fords.

He was an active fisherman, boater and deer hunter. Bill loved fishing in Raritan Bay with his family and sharing his catches with others.

Visitation to be held at Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue Fords, NJ on Tuesday June 18th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday June 19th at 10:30AM.

Interment to follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park Woodbridge,NJ.
