William Blessing, 86, of Toms River, passed away on December 26, 2023. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Julius and Agnes (n. Sheridan) Blessing. William resided in Toms River for nearly 22 years and worked as an Engineer for the railroad in Hoboken, NJ.

He served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. William was also a member of the First Aid Squad. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, and fishing, and was a proud Yankees baseball fan.

William is predeceased by his sister, Helen, and his brothers: Donald and Douglas.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean (n. Molkenburg) Blessing, of Toms River, NJ; his brother, Martin Blessing, and his partner, Patricia of Toms River, NJ; his four nieces: Rachel, Jill, Kelley, and Kathy; his great-niece, Kimberly, of Hillsborough, NJ, his great-great-nephew, CJ and great-great niece Serenity.

Arrangements have been entrusted at Flynn and Son Funeral Homes.

Services will be held privately.
