William H.
Arenson
November 2, 1946 – September 16, 2024
William H. Arenson, 77, of Edison, passed away on September 16, 2024, at Wedgewood Gardens Nursing Home, Freehold. Bill fought many health challenges since suffering a serious stroke in 2009, but he never lost his spunky attitude and will to live.
Bill was born in the Tottenville section of Staten Island to his loving parents Howard and Florence Arenson. He then moved to Sayreville and went on to graduate from Salem University with a BS in Business in 1968. Bill served in the Army National Guard at the Westfield Armory from 1968 to 1972. He was dedicated to his successful career in the precious metals industry for over 30 years before retiring in 2009.
Bill was a devoted husband to his wife Carol for 54 years; and a beloved father to his daughters, Jennifer and Allison. He is also survived by his sons-in-law Richard Stemming (Jennifer) and Brian Dannecker (Allison). Bill's life was fulfilled by spending time with his family especially his three grandchildren: Alexis, Mackenzie and Colin; and his grand-dog, Charlee. Bill was predeceased by his parents and by his close in-laws George and Elizabeth Fugel.
Bill loved traveling on family vacations, devoured every sweet treat, and was a television enthusiast who avidly watched "Squawk Box", Law and Order (much to his wife's chagrin!) and never missed watching his favorite sports, including football, baseball and golf. Bill was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Edison and enjoyed his time serving as President of the Church Council.
