Wilfried L. Volker, 84, passed away on December 11, 2012 at Independence Manor at Hunterdon. He was born in Hanover, Germany, resided in Perth Amboy for most of his life except for his last 2 years were spent in Flemington.
Wilfried was a plant supervisor for 28 years at Phelps Dodge Copper Products in Elizabeth, retiring in 1986.
He was a deacon, elder and member of the choir with St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Perth Amboy.
He is predeceased by his first wife Elisabeth (Biller) in 1979. Surviving is his wife, Joan of 29 years; his son, George of Flemington; his daughter, Susanne Marowitz and her husband Eric of Highlands; granddaughter, Ashley Aguilar and her husband Victor and Jaclyn Volker; and a sister, Christa Mennecke.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Saturday, December15, 2012, at St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.
