Obituary

Walter "Ace" Kolpaczyk, 84, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Freehold, New Jersey. Born on November 12, 1940, in Tarnopol, Poland, he lived a life marked by dedication to family, a passion for bowling, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.  Growing up in Perth Amboy, Walter lived most of his adult life in Hopelawn, moving to Jackson in 2006.

Walter's professional life was deeply intertwined with his love of bowling. From an early age, he found both purpose and joy in the lanes. He spent most of his adult life working as a mechanic at Majestic Lanes in Hopelawn before concluding his career at Woodbridge Bowling Center in Woodbridge. His work was more than just a job—it was an extension of his lifelong devotion to the sport.

A gifted bowler, Walter achieved notable success over the years. Among his proudest accomplishments were winning the Middlesex County Masters tournament in 1979 and rolling a perfect "300" game in 1988—an achievement that stands as a testament to his skill and dedication.  In recognition of his contributions and excellence in the sport, he was inducted into the Middlesex County Bowling Hall of Fame in 1995.

Beyond the lanes, Walter was known for his kind and loving nature. He valued family above all else and found immense joy in spending time with those closest to him. He is survived by his devoted wife Tracey (Trout) of Jackson; daughter Kimberly Siecinski and her husband Bernard of Old Bridge; son Walter and his wife Denise of Forked River; and daughter Sharon Roselli and her husband Joe of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Walter was also blessed with nine grandchildren—one of whom predeceased him—and eleven great-grandchildren, with another expected soon.

Walter came from a large family himself, having had nine siblings who all predeceased him. Despite these losses, he remained steadfast in his love for family and continued to be a source of strength and warmth for those around him.

In addition to bowling and family, Walter held a deep affection for horseracing—a passion that brought him enjoyment throughout his life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during wake services on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Flynn & Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, New Jersey 08863. A memorial service will be held at the same location on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery, 703 Amboy Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. A repast will be held afterward.

Walter "Ace" Kolpaczyk leaves behind a legacy built on love for family, excellence in sport, and quiet devotion to the things that mattered most to him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
