Walter J. Cronin, 90, of Washington, DC, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, in Washington DC.

Born in Newark and was formerly of Wappingers Falls, NY he had resided in Maryland and Washington DC for the last 26 years.

He received a B.S. degree in Business Management from Seton Hall University in 1959.

He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving in the U.S army.

He retired in 1990 after over 36 years with IBM as an engineer and programmer.

His memberships include; Knights of Columbus 3 ^rd Degree Bel Air MD, 4 ^th Degree Wappingers Falls NY, American Legion, Chitose Reunion Group

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne Cronin (1999).

He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Patricia A Baker and her husband Charles, of Bel Air, MD and Kathleen A. Cronin and her husband Scott Smedira of Boyds, MD, 6 grandchildren, Barbara Baker, Douglas Baker, Brian Baker, Laura Judy, Devin Smedira and Melanie Smedira, and 2 great-grandchildren Bryson Judy and Walter Baker.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 2 pm to 5 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords, entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
