Vladimir Friedman, 80, of Scotch Plains, NJ, passed away in the comfort of his home on 9/6/2025.

Vladimir was born on 9/23/1944 in Bacau, Romania to Hannah and Bercu Friedman.

He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest, Romania and went on to work as an electrical engineer for 40 years.   Most recently he worked as a group manager with Analog Devices patenting several inventions related to semiconductors.

Vladimir will be remembered for his love of his family, travelling, and the arts.

He is survived by his spouse, Madeleine Friedman, daughter Sasha Friedman, and grandchildren Aidan and Luna Foskey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hannah and father, Bercu Friedman and his two aunts Dorina Radelescu and Clara Liquornic .

A funeral service will be held at Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
