Obituary

Vivian A. Taylor, aged 91 of Edison, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Fords for more than 60 years before she moved to Edison. She had been predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Ralph Taylor. Vivian was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Fords for many years and volunteered with the Ship 89 Raven Sea Scouts of Carteret. She had graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1941, served as a Sunday School teacher for several years at Simpson Methodist Church in Perth Amboy, and worked for the Raritan Arsenal during World War II.
She is survived by two daughters: Alice M. Taylor of Edison, Linda J. Shaw and her husband Walter of Azle, Texas; three sons: Chris R. and his wife Mary of New Milford Pa., Wesley R. and his wife Kathy of Manville, Keith B. and his wife Cheryl of Carteret: nine grandchildren: Joseph and Gina Cerami, Laura Ferrara, Michelle Hamby and her husband Joshua, Diana Shaw, Wesley and his wife Maureen , Susan, Elizabeth, and Travis Taylor; three great-grandsons: Seth and Jack Hamby, and Nathan Shaw.
Services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, with a 11 AM funeral service at the First United Presbyterian Church of Fords, 97 Hoy Ave., Fords. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the First United Presbyterian Church of Fords.
