Vivian M. Fijol (nee: Wilson), 80, of Fords died February 1, 2011, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she resided in Fords for the last 12 years. Vivian was employed as a secretary by Quiltex Inc. in Brooklyn for 22 years before retiring in 1993. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, and a member of the Fords, Keasbey Senior Citizens.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Theodore, to whom she was married for 54 years; a son, Thomas and his wife Kathleen of Fords; 2 daughters: Diane Roman and her husband Johnny of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Barbara Fijol of Flemington; 7 grandchildren: Caitlynn, John, Christian, Krista,
Samantha, Courtney, and Ryan; her sister, Sarah Nadal and her husband Henry of Staten Island; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 8:30 AM Saturday, February 5, 2011,
from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 9:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Visitation will be on Friday, February 4, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
