Virginia "Ginny" M. Christensen devoted wife, mother, and grandmother went home to the Lord on Tuesday March 26, 2013. She was born in Woodbridge, and has resided in the Fords section for the past 64 years.

Ginny worked as a Day Matron at the Hess building on Route 9 in Woodbridge for more than 20 years before retiring in 1998. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords, and enjoyed bingo, going to garage sales, and trips to Atlantic City.

Ginny was predeceased by her husband Daniel P. Christensen in 1995, her parents Steven and Mary Remais, and her siblings Robert and Helen Remais. She is survived by her children Patricia Kerchner and her companion Vinnie of Fords, Kathleen Dopp and her husband Brad of Woodbridge, and Glenn D. Christensen of Fords, her grandchildren James D. and Jennifer M. Kerchner, Robert and Brian Dopp, her great grandson Anthony Kerchner, her dear cat Sally, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to St. Jude's children's hospital.
