Virgilio "Virgil" Verrico, 60, of South Plainfield, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday December 27, 2022.

Virgil was born on a chilly day at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens to Anna Marra and Antonio Verrico. Virgil and his family relocated to New Jersey when he was very young, and he attended Piscataway Vo-Tech where he received his high school diploma.  He worked as a landscaper for the Heart of Country Landscaping for many years. When he wasn't working, Virgil enjoyed going on his boat and fishing, even if he was just "casting", it didn't matter to him he was happy to be out and about. When he wasn't out by the water, he enjoyed going for an afternoon ride on his motorcycle or spending time indoors on his computer.

Virgil is predeceased by his father Antonio Verrico. He is survived by his mother, Anna Verrico, of Edison, his sister, Giulia Forsythe, of Edison; his nieces, Felicia and Daniella; his nephew, Anthony; his ex-partner, Janet Verrico, of South Plainfield; along with many extended relatives and close friends. Virgil also leaves behind his favorite fur babies, Buddy, Krystal, and his beloved Max.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 10 am to 12 p.m. in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue Fords, NJ 08863.  A prayer service will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home followed by entombment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Virgil's' memory to Our Lady of Peace Church in Edison. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
