Violet Dorothy (nee: Wilson) McCann, 86, of Edison, passed peacefully at home on Friday, November 11, 2016

Born in Perth Amboy, she had resided in Edison since 1967.

She had owned V & M Ceramics in Edison, for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Perth Amboy, and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy with the class of '48.

She was predeceased by beloved husband, Michael Alexander McCann, Sr. who died in 2010, sons, Michael McCann, Jr., who died in 1983 and Kenneth Michael McCann who died in 2003, and grandson, Michael McCann, III , who died in 2000

Violet leaves behind, a son, Thomas G. McCann and his wife Christine, of Edison, two daughters, Pamela Tippett of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and Sharon A McCann of Edison, three grandchildren; Timothy Sexton, Grace McCann, and Thomas McCann, three great-grandchildren, Anastasia Geardino, Michael A. McCann, IV and Nicholas McCann,  two great-great-grandchildren; Lukah and Benjamin..

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 10-11 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral

Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, followed by an 11 am service and the interment in the church cemetery in Fords.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: the Parkinsons Foundation.
