Viola Davitt, 95, of Whiting, passed away on November 23, 2025, at Arista Care in Plainfield. She was born in Newark on February 18, 1930. Viola was a Homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking bus trips to Atlantic City.

Viola was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Davitt, in 2013; two grandsons, Joshua and Nicholas; five sisters: Florence Prigano, Angelina Petito, Margaret Petito, Josephine Hamilton, and Irene Page.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Szymczak, and her husband, Carl, of Metuchen, and and Angela Katsoudas, and her husband, Michael, of Sparta: a son, Joseph Davitt, and his wife Vicky, of Goldendale, WA, and two grandsons, Christopher and Cameron.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 8-9 am at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin at 9 am Saturday at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River
