Obituary

Vincenzo James Chicuto, 85, of Fords, died April 14 at his home. Born January 25, 1925, in Hoboken, Mr. Chicuto resided in Fords for the past 50 years. He was a bread salesman for Wonder Bread for 44 years, retiring in 1988.

Mr. Chicuto was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Communicant of and usher at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Seniors; the Middlesex County Bowling Association past President and Hall of Famer.

He is survived by his wife, Lena (DeRocco) of 62 years; his son, James Vincent and his wife Donna of Westminster, MD; 3 daughters, Joanne Redmond and her husband Thomas of Middletown; Roseanne Russo and her husband, Joseph of Metuchen; and Bernadette Romatowski and her husband, Gregory, of Monroe Township; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He dearly loved his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 18, from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 19, 2010, at 10:00 am from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ followed by a 10:30 am funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace RC Church or Haven Hospice, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08818.
