Vidalia Mendez, 72, of Perth Amboy died Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Care One in Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, she resided in Perth Amboy for the past 40 years.
Mrs. Mendez retired in 1997 as a Sales associate at JC Penney in Woodbridge Center after 10 years.
She previously worked as a finisher at Regina Dress Co. in Perth Amboy. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima R C church in Perth Amboy.
Surviving family members include her husband, Teodoro, to whom she has been married for 52 years;
2 daughters: Nancy (Gerry) Molina of Edison and Maribel(Juwan) Thomas of Somerset; son, Teddy, of Parlin; 2 grandsons: Daniel and Michael Molina; also surviving are 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 2, at 9:30 am from Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ
followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima R C Church. Burial will be in Puerto Rico.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
