It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victoria "Vickie" Connaughton, 93, of Fords. She entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2024, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Jersey City and has resided in Fords for the past 63 years. Vickie was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

Vickie is now at rest with the "loves of her life", her loving husband, Edward "Eddie" Connaughton, her sister, Anne Pascazio and brothers, Jack and John Soranno. Her presence will forever be felt through the lives of her two daughters, Victoria and her husband Walter Karyczak and Cathleen and her husband Thomas Panconi - Grandchildren, Michael Connaughton and wife Jill, Victoria Hajjar and husband Anthony, Jenna Panconi Schultz and husband Zachary and Taylor Panconi - Great grandchildren, Nicholas and Eva Hajjar. Vickie's loving family included many many nieces and nephews which gave her such joy and so much love. Both Joanne Jaquillard and Jeanne Canestrino were her nieces and best friends. Vickie cherished lifelong friendships with many close neighbors.  Her devotion to family extended beyond blood ties, as she adored her loving friendships with companions such as Clare Ferraro and the entire Ferraro family. Vickie's wonderful life can be summed up by the extreme love and joy she gave as well as she received.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 4,2024 at 10 AM from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace, interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
