Mom believed everyone deserved a "tribute" when they left this world. Here is ours to her:
Thank you for being our mom.
Thank you for singing "Good Night Sweet Jesus" many many times when we could not fall asleep.
Thank you for working close to home with most of your jobs, especially the job at All State Cash register. We passed you each day we walked home from school and saw you in the front window. You would often give us 25 cents for a hot chocolate at a time when 25 cents a day was a strain.
Thank you for giving us birthday parties, Christmas, Easter, and Graduation celebrations as times when money was certainly scarce and you and Daddy went without.
Thank you for going on after Dad died and seeing us all through college, our first jobs our weddings and children.
Thank you for loving your grandchildren with such passion. Jack, Michael and Jocelyn….your grandma Vicky loved you more than you may know.
Thank you for your kindness when we made mistakes and for pushing us to work hard and never give up on our dreams. Your unwavering faith that we would all achieve something important in our lives and find happiness and love is one of the greatest reasons we did.
Thank you for your optimistic attitude about life and for instilling in us that faith and determination will get you anywhere.
Although we miss you terribly, we know by the faith you gave us that you are again with Daddy, Aunt Reggie, and all your family and friends. We will take comfort knowing you are with them every time we miss you.
