Victor J. Schoenig, 78, of the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge Twp. passed away at home on January 29, 2021. He was born on November 26, 1942 in Newark, NJ. He was retired from NJ Transit as a Regional Supervisor. Victor graduated from High School in Elizabeth. He was a member of the South Amboy Boat Club. Victor was an avid fisherman and boater. He loved gatherings with friends and family; Victor was always the life of the party.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Theresa ( Carlucci) Schoenig, his two brothers: Joseph and Robert Schoenig; a sister, Anna Cottingham; and a sister-in-law, Karen Schoenig.

Victor is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emily Schoenig, of Menlo Park Terrace, two sons, Victor Schoenig, and his wife, Jennifer, of Freehold; and Christopher Schoenig, and his fiancée, Nancy Murnieks, of Toms River; a granddaughter, Victoria; two brothers, William Schoenig, of Toms River; and Frank Schoenig, of Manchester; dear friend, John Vecchio, of Manchester; 13 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

Cremation was private.
