Victor Ciandella passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2014, in New Port Richey, FL, at the age of 84.
Victor was born on December 19, 1929, to Victor and Mary Ciandella in Jersey City, NJ. He resided in Avenel, Edison, Manahawkin, NJ, and Cumming, GA, before settling in New Port Richey, FL.
He was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union until his retirement.
Victor served his country faithfully in the Marines.
He was a man with impeccable integrity, with a great passion for baking and cooking; he closely guarded his "secret recipes". He had an incredible knack for making people laugh.
Victor was predeceased by the love of his life, Florence Heslin Ciandella, in 1982; his son, Thomas; and siblings: Sonny, Theresa DiNardo, and Florence Brown. He is survived by his daughters Midge Huber and her husband Greg and Mary Corey and her husband Bruce. He is also survived by his grandchildren Florence Vanek, Gregory and Andrea Huber, Tina Hudson, Bruce Corey, Aubrey Shine, Victor Corey, and Michelle Ciandella, his eleven great-grandchildren and his siblings, Jean Foster, Mary Abate, Anna Ciani, and Vinny Ciandella.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. NJ. A funeral service will be held during the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
