Obituary of Veronica "Ronnie" L. Nyhan


Veronica L. "Ronnie" Nyhan, 80, of Fords, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Nyhan was born in Keasbey to the late Louis and Veronica H. Kunie and had previously lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Fords twenty years ago.

Veronica was a teacher and had been employed by the Edison Board of Education for forty-two years, before retiring in 2002.

She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy and also of the St. Elias Church Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret.

She is survived by several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am Service of Divine Liturgy at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Monday from 5pm to 7pm. Parastas services will be held Monday evening at 6pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church.
