Obituary of Vera A. Lesko


Vera A. Lesko, 97, of Hopelawn, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Amboy Care Center in Perth Amboy. Mrs. Lesko was born in Hopelawn to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Horvath and had resided there all of her life.
Vera was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Parish - Holy Spirit Church, Perth Amboy and also of the Hopelawn Senior Citizens Club.
She was predeceased by her husband John A. Lesko in 1967, her two brothers and her sister. Vera is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Ann Lesko of Hopelawn and also by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 9:30 am mass in the Good Shepherd Parish - Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm.
