ValliJean Ardizzone, age 66, died peacefully on March 8, 2015, after a long illness. ValliJean was born February 26, 1949, in Queens, NY, one of 6 children to Otis DeLaune and Luz Delia Reyes. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1967. While raising 3 boys, she worked various jobs in retail and insurance.
ValliJean is remembered by friends and family as the life of the party, always giving of her time and energies, and helping others at every turn. She was baptized in 1972 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved teaching others about God's Kingdom. She endured to the end (Mt 24:13).
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Marshall DeLaune.
ValliJean is survived by her husband, James Ardizzone; her sons, Brian and his wife, Julie Papocchia, Jesse and his wife, Jennifer Papocchia, and Dean Rys; a granddaughter, Ava; her siblings, Don DeLaune and his wife, Marie, Darryl DeLaune and his wife, Margie, Linda Castillo, and Nanette DeLaune; her aunt, Judith Clarke and her husband, Sam; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Funeral arrangements have been cared for by Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. A Memorial Service in ValliJean's honor will be held on March 21, 2015, at 3:00 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1324 Woodland Ave, Plainfield, NJ 07060.
