Thomas Joseph "TJ" Smoltino, 31, of Edison, passed away on September 2, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.  He was born in Secaucus, and lived in Edison most of his life.

TJ was born on July 14, 1990. He was a devoted son, brother, boyfriend and always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always lived life to the fullest.  TJ enjoyed playing his guitar, being down the shore, watching football, playing softball and golf with his friends and family.  Most of all, he loved helping the people around him. Many loved him because of his personality, his smile, and his generosity.  TJ was one of a kind and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone that crossed his path.

TJ is survived by his parents, Thomas and Denise Smoltino; his sister Kelly Smoltino; his girlfriend of 6 years, Shannon Haus; Shannon's parents Richard and Janice Haus; Shannon's grandmother, Camille Wasilewski; and his dogs Ziggy and Lexie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 1-5 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ.  A catholic prayer service will take place at 4:30 PM.  Those who can't make the visitation are welcome to attend a celebration of TJ at 6PM at Gabriele's, 1351 Centennial Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in TJ's name.
