Thomas Arthur Sobe, age 68 of The Menlo Park section of Woodbridge, died on Friday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in New York City and had resided in Menlo Park Terrace for the past 27 years.

Thomas was a Database Administrator with the State of New Jersey Office of Information Technology for the past 3 years. He had previously worked for AT&T/ Lucent in East Brunswick for more than 25 years. He was a member and past Commander of the American Legion Post #774 in the Bronx. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his sons, Thomas Arthur Sobe, Jr. and Daniel Alfred Sobe, both of Menlo Park Terrace, his stepdaughter, Karen Holevas Garifo of Long Island, his two granddaughters, Nicole and Danielle, his nephew, Richard Sobe of Colorado and his fiancée, Veronica O'Donnell.
