Thomas M. Silvaney, 83, of Edison passed away at home on March 8, 2012.
Thomas was born on May 1, 1928, in Hopelawn and resided in Edison for the last 49 years. He was a truck driver with Con-Lux Coatings in Edison for 43 years; was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church; and served in the National Guard for 8 years.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Lillian (Piosko), of 59 years; his daughters: Denise Nagy of RI, Karen Schilling and her husband Edward of Howell, Suzanne Detoro and her husband Gary of Howell, and Lisa Gonczi and her husband Donald of Edison; his grandchildren: Danielle, Tammy, Tara, Melissa, Amanda, Shane, Michael, Lauren, Jacklyn, Nicole, and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren: Zoe, Avery, Austin, and Emily; a sister, Frances Hudak; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 12, 2012, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 7:00-9:00 pm.
