Obituary

Thomas F. Seeman, Jr., 71, of Bayville and formerly of Edison, beloved husband, father and "Pop Pop", passed over into eternal life on July 7, 2011, at his home with his wife, Judith, at his side. He was a gentle man who never left a kind word unsaid. His greatest joy was his family and being with his grandchildren.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, to Ethel and Thomas Seeman, Sr., he graduated from St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy with the Class of '58, where he met the love of his life and soul mate, Judy Banick. They were married for 51 wonderful years. Together they raised four children: Thomas F. Seeman, III who lives with his wife, Susan, in Edison; Dennis S. Seeman of Boca Raton, FL; Dr. Joseph E. Seeman, who lives with his wife, Chris, in Rumson; and his daughter, Judith A. Seeman of Palm Beach, FL and Bayville, NJ.

Thomas was a communicant of St. Barnabas RC Church in Bayville, and former member of Our Lady of Peace, Fords. Tom lived in Edison for 35 years prior to moving to Bayville. He retired in 2000, as the Business Agent for Local #9 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union of the United Assoc. of the U.S.A. and Canada, in Englishtown, NJ, and served a total of 53 years as a member of the union. Tom served his five- year apprentice training while a member of Local 270 in Fords. He attended the Instructor Training Program at Purdue University in Indiana. He attended the George Meany School of Studies in MD and the Rutgers Labor School of Studies in New Brunswick. He was a former coach of the Fords- Clara Barton Baseball League for many years and a member of the Metuchen Elks. His favorite enjoyment was bowling at the Edison Lanes with his colleagues.

His move to Bayville was to enjoy his retirement boating and crabbing with his grandchildren off of his dock. His other enjoyments were traveling and wintering in Florida. He served on the Board of the Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer and Middlesex Counties AFL-CIO Labor Councils. He also served on the Board of Agents and NJ State Pipe Trades. He was an avid NY Jets Football fan.

Tom was predeceased by his dad, Thomas F. Seeman Sr., who will meet him at Heaven's gate.
Along with his loving wife and children, Tom is also survived by his mother, Ethel (Muska) Seeman of Edison, and his nine grandchildren: Dennis A., Angela, Kody, Kamrin, Brittani, Nikki, Courtney, Joseph, and Kristy Seeman; his great-grandchildren, Kayla and Parker, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins and extended family.
