Thomas J. Santamaria,90, of Monroe Township, passed away on January 8, 2019 at Parker at Monroe, Monroe Township.

He was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Monroe Township for 25 years.

Thomas was employed by the City of Perth Amboy for 40 years, most recently as Director of Environmental Control, retiring in 1990.

He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Balinski), in 1998; his brother, Giacomo Santamaria; and his companion, Doris Ballerini.

Surviving are his daughters, Susan Mascenik and her husband, Charles, of Land O' Lakes, FL., Patricia Iuzzolino and her husband, Vincent, of Millstone Township, and Christine Caradonna and her husband, Salvatore, of Voorhees; his grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Jennifer, Thomas, Shannon, Emily, Evan, and Kimberly; his great- granddaughter, Isla; his sister, Marie Koskoski; his brother, Joseph and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 4-8 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Services will begin at the funeral home on Saturday at 9 AM, with a 9:30 AM funeral liturgy at Good Shepard Parish, Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn.
