Thomas J. Saksinsky Sr., 89, of Perth Amboy, passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center on July 28, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1932, in Perth Amboy. He was retired as a Lab Technician from PSE&G in Sewaren.  Thomas served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated Perth Amboy High School Class of 1951. He was a communicant of Blessed John Paul II Parish, at St. Stephen's Church where he was an Usher. Thomas was elected Father of the Year by the Holy Rosary Holy Name Society in 1983, and Man of the Year in 1990. He loved to play chess.

Thomas was predeceased by his son, Thomas Saksinsky Jr. in 2005; four brothers: Charles, Edward, Bernard, and Joseph Saksinsky; three sisters: Stella Batiuk, Florence Batiuk, and Ann Bruszkewicz.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lorraine Saksinsky, of Perth Amboy; a brother, William Saksinsky, and his wife, Mary, of Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 2, 2021, from 9-10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will begin 10 am in the funeral home. A 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Stephen's Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.
