Obituary

Thomas W. Parker, 55, formerly of Piscataway and Edison, died February 19, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, MO.

Born in Perth Amboy, Thomas resided in New Bloomfield, MO for the last 8 years. He was a Steel Worker for 20 years with Co-Steel Raritan in Perth Amboy. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1978. He was a Member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy, American Legion Post 261 and Edison Moose Lodge 2487. Thomas graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1974. In 1974, he received a commendation from the Board of Chosen Freeholders for saving a young man from drowning.

Thomas is predeceased by his mother, Adeline (Rodgers). He is survived by his wife Teresa (Fluta) to whom he was married for 28 years; his father, William; his son Thomas; 2 daughters: Shannon, and Erin Simpson and her husband Brian; grandchildren: Callie and Breanna Parker; Breanna and Bryson Simpson, Riley and Tyler; 4 brothers: William, Harold, George and Wayne; 4 sisters: Meg Mondo, Dee Parker, Beatrice Parker, and
Dawn Bombardier; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a 10:00 AM Service of Requiem at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 24, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Fords.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
