Thomas F. Hunley 87, of Perth Amboy, departed this life, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and has resided in Perth Amboy 36 years.

Tom was a dedicated truck driver with Hmieleski Trucking in South Plainfield before retiring. Two of his greatest joys were traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

He faithfully served his country in the army during WW II.

Tom was a member of the F & AM in Matawan.

He was predeceased by his sisters Alice English and Carol White; his parents, Tom and Ruby Hunley. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sara Hamilton Hunley, his children Atif Hameen and his wife Regina of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Morris and her husband James, Beverly Manning and her husband Nevil, Brenda Hunley, and Carla Adams and her husband John, all of Florida, his siblings Francis of Freehold, Ruth Butts of Richmond, VA, Harold and his wife Lorraine, Pearl Robinson, Rev. George Hunley and his wife Lenora, all of Matawan; Shirley Davis of Morganville, Lynn Conover and her husband Clarence, of Oldbridge, and Sylvia Carpenter and her husband Rodger of Freehold, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in the Alpine Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.
