Thomas C. Filarowitz, 79, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident. Tom was a self-employed Attorney holding licenses in both New Jersey and New York for the past 55 years. He was a graduate of Rider University and Brooklyn Law School. Tom was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Raritan Yacht Club, an avid sailor and tennis player, who could often be seen riding his bicycle around town.

He was predeceased by his parents, Patricia (nee Burns) and Chester Filarowitz, and his brother, John "Flippy" Filarowitz.

Tom is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karyn Reinert; his sisters-in-law, Carlotta Filarowitz, Carla Fass, and Nancy Myron; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his fur babies.

Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy.
