February 28, 1947 – January 31, 2026
Thomas J. Felcetto, 78, of Edison, passed away on January 31, 2026, surrounded by his family at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Edison for 54 years. Tom served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Research Supervisor for Merck-Biopharmaceutical Company for 30 years, retiring in 2004. Tom rejoined the workforce as a Health Inspector with the Middlesex County Health Department in 2006; he retired in 2021. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Tom spent his free time volunteering at Roosevelt Hospital and the Edison Senior Center. He was a member of the Clara Barton First Aid Squad in Edison.
Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara. They spent 57 wonderful years together raising their family, spending time at their second home in Pennsylvania travelling, skiing and taking vacations and cruises, and becoming doting grandparents to their beloved grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his sons, Michael Felcetto and his wife, Cara and Christopher Felcetto and his wife, Michelle; his five grandchildren: Nicholas, Emma Rose, Madison, Jacki and Gary; his sister, Juyne Delessio; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Lovas-Bandics and her husband, Chris.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Mausoleum.
