Thomas Francis Barry Jr., 84, of Fords entered into eternal rest Sunday October 17, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Fords for more than 50 years. Tom was an electrical foreman at Shell Oil Co. in Sewaren for 41 years before retiring in 1986. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords and a former
member of The Middlesex Council Knights of Columbus Council # 857 in Woodbridge. He also proudly served in the Army during WW II.
Tom is predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy J. Barry in 1990, and is survived by his second wife, Carmela K. Miceli Barry; son Thomas Francis Barry, III and his wife Joyce,of Fords; grandchildren: Thomas Francis Barry IV., and Kevin John Barry; brother, Robert J. Barry of Edison; sisters Ellen Collridge of Matawan, and Marie Marhevka of Fords; 2 step-sons: Louis Miceli of Port Charlotte, FL, and Joseph Miceli of Westfield; 2 step-daughters: Gina Howe of New Port Richie, FL, and Madeline Roepcke of Langhorn, PA; and 7 step-
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 10 am at the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Lirurgy at Our Lady
of Peace R.C. Church. Entombment will follow in Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Colonia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
