Thomas P. Andersen, Sr, 72, of Fords, passed away on December 26, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 30, 1951 in Perth Amboy. In 1975, he married Theresa (Terri) Bonis in South Amboy. He worked most of his days as a self-employed civil engineer. He graduated college from Stevens Technical Institute. He was a life member of Hopelawn First Aid and Woodbridge Township Ambulance & Rescue Squad. He was a volunteer EMT since 1969 and became an EMT instructor and worked with Community Safety Consultants. He was also a member of the Woodbridge Rotary.

He is survived by his loving wife Terri; his daughter Karen Andersen and her husband, Andrew Egan; his son Thomas Andersen and his wife, Nora; and his three beautiful granddaughters Lainie Andersen, Elise Andersen, and Cameron Egan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas E. Andersen & Jane Andersen and his brother William.

Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm where services will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin, NJ.
