Theresa M. Bodo, 87, of Sewaren, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Mrs. Bodo was born in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Mary Toth Pasterick and had lived the last fifty seven years in Sewaren.

She was employed by P.S.E.&G in Perth Amboy as a switchboard operator for eight years before retiring in 1975, and then became a dedicated care giver for her son John. She was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish-Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy and was an avid Yankee's fan.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Charles J. Bodo in 2002 and a brother Joseph "Buddy" Pasterick.She is survived by her son, John Charles Bodo of Sewaren, her two daughters, Jody Bodo of Sewaren, Suzanne and her husband Joseph Mecka of Manahawkin, four grandchildren, Dana, Freddie, Cheryl-Lynn and Kaitlyn. Three great grandchildren, Paige, Leah and Anthony.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 pm. Services Friday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment of ashes will follow in the Our Lady Of Hungary Cemetery in Fords.
