Obituary

Theodore J. Wolan, 85, of Edison entered into eternal rest Saturday at the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

He was born in Newark and lived most of his life in Edison. He was a warehouse porter with Twin County Grocers in Edison for 27 years before retiring in 1998. Ted was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Edison and a retired volunteer chief of the Raritan Engine Co. #2 Fire Company in Edison.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Liebhart Wolan, to whom he was married for 51 years, their children: Michael T. and his wife Janet of Edison, Marianne J. Shanker and her husband Jay of Edison, Betsy J. Sloan and her husband Ken of Midland NC, and Amy T. Mikulak and her husband Bob of East Brunswick, 11 grandchildren: Jon-Michael, Christian, Justin, Jared, Brett, Kali, Brian, Drew, Haylie, Shelby, and Bethany, and his sister Wanda Wytko of Tuscon, AZ.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 8:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 9:00 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady Of Peace. Entombment will follow in the Crucifix Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, January 10, 2011,from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
