Theodore "Ted" Davis, 84, of Colonia, NJ, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Plainfield, Indiana, he was formerly of Dunellen, NJ and Edison, NJ and has resided in Colonia for the last 5 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving the U.S. Navy.
He was the founder and chairman of Area Systems, Inc., Madison, NJ.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Veronica Davis, who died in 2001 and a step brother.
Ted leaves behind his six children, Kyle Davis of Mahwah, Vincent Davis of Hawthorne, Chris Davis of Jersey City, Mary Carlough and her husband Chris, of Gaithersburg, MD, Mark Davis and his wife Susan, of Manville, and JoyAnne Barrett and her husband Edward, Jr. of Colonia, eight grandchildren, three step brothers and four step sisters.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords NJ 08863.
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, in Fords, interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
