Obituary

Tamara "Tammy" ElSayed fought a courageous battle against a very aggressive and unique cancer for over a year. Tammy began her journey home on Tuesday, August 17 th in the afternoon. She spent her final days on earth in the home she loved and shared with all the people she knew. Tammy did not know the feeling of hatred and her eyes welcomed everyone!

Tammy was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, at home on March 27, 1955. She spent her time in Venezuela with Marianne and Victor, her parents, and her younger sister, Lili. There were many friends in Venezuela, but none more important to her than the Pysar Family that included her adopted sister, Anita Sciarinno.

Immigration to the United States happened at the age of 4 and she quickly became an outstanding student in Edison Public Schools. She was known as the "bookworm" in her school classes. She made a graceful appearance at Montclair State College and graduated with a B.A. degree in Sociology. At college she met and created a lifelong friendship with Sue Bogden. During this time, she also met and created another lifelong friendship with Song. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Sayed. Their love remains alive in him and they have been wed for 40 years. Most of their married life happened at their home in North Plainfield.

The world has lost a kind, helpful and contributing woman. The world is less vibrant, but heaven is richer because she is there. Tammy will be immensely missed by her husband, ElSayed A. ElSayed and her sister, Lili Krajewski. She will also be missed by Steven Krajewski (brother-in-law), Douglas Krajewski (nephew), Ashraf Karkoura (nephew) and dear friends: Ana Sciarinno, Joseph & Alison Sciarinno, and Maria Sciarinno.

The family is grateful for the services provided by Community VNA of Somerville, NJ, (especially our Visiting Nurse, Sarah) and our Home Health Aide, Ada. You made Tammy's Journey Home graceful and peaceful.
