Obituary

Susan Leilani Schrader, 58, of Edison, passed away on March 9, 2018 in Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born on the Patrick Air Force Base in Merritt Island, Florida on October 13, 1959 to her late mother Joanne E. Hudson and surviving father Richard R. Schrader. She resided in Florida and California before moving to New Jersey.
Susan was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jacob Buco in 2002. Surviving Susan are her son Kenneth; her step-son, John Buco; her sisters, Mary Porr and Janet Schrader and also several nieces and nephews. Susan was employed at BJ's Wholesale Club in Edison for over 20 years. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 435 in Edison, and a Den Leader of Cub Scout Pack 53 in Fords.
Growing up, she loved spending time in Hawaii with her grandparents, Kenneth and Alice. She enjoyed spending her early mornings outside with a hot cup of coffee and her beloved dog, Dexter. Crafting and crocheting were two of her favorite hobbies. Over the years she has completed many special projects including several beautifully crocheted afghan blankets. She was kind, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her smile was contagious and she was always the life of the party.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 11 AM- 12 PM with a service starting at 12 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Sadlo officiating. A private cremation was held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org) or to the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 28 S. 4th Street, Fords.
