Stuart R.
Blond
September 1, 1953 – February 17, 2026
Stuart R. Blond, 72, of Fords, NJ, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick on February 17, 2026. Born in Los Angeles, CA, to Elmer and Anne Blond (nee. Glatzer) on September 1, 1953, he spent his childhood in Canoga Park, CA before moving to Fords 40 years ago. He was a Packard automobile enthusiast.
Stuart's love of the Packard actually began with his 30 years of employment with Kanter Auto in Boonton, NJ, as Head of the Packard Parts Department. That passion evolved into an Editorial career that spanned many years. He spent 22 years as the Editor of the Packard Cormorant Magazine. Prior to his leadership at the Packard Cormorant, Stuart served as Editor of the Cormorant News Bulletin for 16 years and the Earle C. Anthony Region of PAC. He was a great friend of the Packard Club.
Stuart was predeceased by his brother, Eric Blond. He leaves behind the love of his life, Stella Pyrtek (nee: Kowalchik) to whom he was married for almost 40 years and a host of friends.
Private arrangements were entrusted to the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.
