Dr. Stephen D. Yaremczak
,
61, of Edison, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Edison.
Dr. Stephen will forever be remembered by his quick wit, brilliant mind, and unwavering love of living life, under his own terms.
Dr. Stephen graduated from Rutgers University, with a degree in chemistry, he went on to study further, at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. His love for science led him into dentistry, graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, School of Dental Medicine in 1985. He was a well loved dentist, who saw patients, for over 35 years, at his private practice, in Woodbridge.
"Dr. Steve" or "Doc" was a devout Roman Catholic and a communicant at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords. Throughout his life, he was generous with his time and talent, doing extensive charity work.

from the
Hope for Children Research Foundation

affiliated with Columbia University Medical Center, for his
years of charitable endeavors. One of his favorite activities was volunteering his time and support to a convent in New York City run by the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa's Order).
He served
on the Board of Trustees at McAuley Hall Health Care Center, in Watchung, (a nonprofit nursing home
,
run by the Sisters of Mercy), who also run Mount St. Mary's Academy, a high school for girls.
He was also a former board member of the
Metuchen Golf and Country Club, where he loved to organize various social events
.
