Stephen G. Mehes, 95, of Woodbridge entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center.

Stephen was born in Darien, Connecticut, and is formerly of Perth Amboy. He moved to Woodbridge 66 years ago. He was an Engineer at E.I. Du Pont in Perth Amboy for 32 years before retiring in 1977. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was a member of the American Legion Post #87 in Woodbridge.

Stephen was predeceased by his wife, Jane Belmonte Mehes, in 1986 and his son-in-law, Andrew Toth, in 2002. He is survived by his children: Joanne M. Toth of Edison and Stephen J. Mehes and his wife, Victoria, of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Andrea Ingram, Andrew Toth Jr., Joseph Toth, Stephen A. Mehes, and Gianna Mehes; great-granddaughter Alyssa Ingram; siblings George of Metuchen, Lester of Edison, and Lillian Susko of Sewaren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at 8:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 9:00 am Funeral Liturgy at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
